Activation key for "PCMflash"
-
ATTENTION: Built-in protection means monitor the correctness of interactions with the key and may block the key in case of unauthorized access attempts. In this case, claims regarding the key's operation and the Program will not be accepted.
Installation of Guardant Code hardware key driver. You can download the latest version of the driver from the hardware key manufacturer's website. The download page is located at:
www.guardant.ru/support/users/drivers/
When installing the driver, grant the installer the necessary permissions as requested by the operating system. After installing the driver, connect the Guardant Code hardware key (located in a yellow package labeled "Hardware Key") from the Kit to the USB port of the computer and wait for the device installation to complete. Make sure that:
-
The hardware key's LED is continuously lit;
Guardant Code appears in the "device manager."
ATTENTION! If, during the installation of hardware key drivers on Windows 7 x64, the device manager reports driver issues, update the operating system to enable support for current cryptographic protocols (KB3033929).
Initial Activation of the Hardware Key
Before the first use (after acquiring the key), there may be a need for activation (updating) of the electronic key. The process consists of the following stages:
-
Creating an activation (update) request and submitting the request.
Transmitting the confirmation code.
At all stages, the GrdTRU.exe utility from the program package is used. This utility is designed as a wizard, consisting of several pages. Navigation between pages is done using the [Next] and [Back] buttons at the bottom of the dialog.
ATTENTION!
Activation of only one hardware key is possible simultaneously. All stages of the initial activation must be carried out strictly on one personal computer since it is used by the update utility to store service information about the process.
Follow the instructions carefully during the activation process; otherwise, you may need to restart the process from the beginning.
Creating a Request
Launch the GrdTRU utility. After starting the utility, a page will appear on the screen where you need to select the option "Start a new key update operation":
GrdTRU can be downloaded here: disk.yandex.ru/d/X5_hTdWfTvaPaIf, upon launching GrdTRU, you encounter an error message stating "The key with the specified search conditions is not found," you need to ensure that:
- The hardware key intended for use with the Program is connected to a USB port.
- Its drivers are installed and operational (see above).
- No hardware key emulators or drivers intercepting interactions with USB devices are in use on the personal computer.
On the next page, a generated update request will be displayed—a sequence of hexadecimal characters containing information about the key.
The update request needs to be saved in a file (use the [Save to File] button) and sent to the hardware key vendor. You can conclude the utility's operation (click [Finish]) until a response is received.
Memory Key Update
After receiving the response file from the hardware key vendor, you perform the memory key update. If the utility's operation was concluded in the previous step, relaunch the GrdTRU utility. Now, select "Continue key update operation" and click [Next]. The wizard page will appear, containing a field for entering and displaying the update dump.
ATTENTION! Input the dump using only the [From File...] button:
After entering the dump and clicking [Next], the operation to update the key's memory with the provided data will be performed.
If, at this stage, you encounter the error "Dump size is incorrect. Check correctness," it's likely that one of the conditions was violated:
- Another personal computer was used to obtain the update request.
- A new key update operation was initiated at some point, automatically canceling the previous one.
- Text of the response number was pasted "from the buffer" instead of selecting a file.
- In the first and second cases, you'll need to start the activation (update) operation again from the beginning.
If the operation is successful, the last wizard page with the results of the operation will appear on the screen.
Confirmation Code Transmission
During the key memory update process, the client utility will provide a final confirmation code containing information about the update result (successful/unsuccessful). The confirmation code needs to be transmitted to the hardware key vendor.
